Home Simple Harmonic Motion, or SHM, is Worcester Polytechnic Institute's best (and only) all-male a cappella group. Founded in 1982 under the name Baker's Dozen, SHM changed its name in 1994 to the more fitting (and nerdy) Simple Harmonic Motion. Despite its tech school pedigree, SHM has a long and proud history of musicality and personality. When together, the group not only makes a profound sound, but knows how to have a good time on road trips, retreats, and overnight gigs. SHM is usually found shaking its groove thing, finding something to pumpkin, eating massive quantities of snacks, or maybe even learning a new song. ![]()

Also, SHM has a number of gigs upcoming, so check the performances page. We aren't done yet! Vital Sines (finally) Released! - Monday, April 6th, 2009
